Tell us about your passion for business and personal development. Why did you venture into this space given your legal background?
Well, I fall into the category of those who haven’t been forced to study something and have ventured into another strange and unrelated realm. I love the law and it serves as the perfect basis for whatever you want to build on it. One of the greatest gifts the profession has given me is the ability to use my voice to trigger change in people’s lives and their businesses. My strong passion for business development was also the result of seeds that were sown from the start, I had the unique opportunity to taste the business world that many of my peers have had to wait for after graduating. diploma to experiment. I started selling candy in my junior school and through my university jointly ran my family chain of fast food restaurants with education. . This has led to a number of interventions I have made on businesses of family and friends, leading to panel appearances, training jobs for a number of organizations trying to empower their hand. -work. The field of personal development of individuals has come almost naturally, because in order to be successful in running any business you must first run YOU Incorporated, you must continually develop the skills and emotions required to be a strong person and achieve your goals. business goals. So my adventure in this space was almost effortless, even though I miss full time legal practice, I found my “why” and finding that makes all the difference in the world.

How did your training in telecommunications and maritime law help you in your business positioning work?
So I got my LLM at the University of Hertfordshire in UK and at that time the telecommunications market was still in its infancy and also the shipping industry which is vital to any big economy, to the then I understood that these two pillars were vital for the Nigerian economy in particular. My training opportunity allowed me to see how the big brands penetrate the markets and also how the smaller players develop by leaving their mark: the knowledge of these is not lost in its application to the companies that we form and consult to ensure they are able to leverage and monitor for various economic, social and political variables that ensure business success

With over a decade of experience in entrepreneurship, public speaking, mentoring and business consulting, what is your vision for business evolution and your appreciation for your service?
The Nigerian trade space is changing rapidly, as no nation is an island on its own. Therefore, events in other trade climates have ripple effects on a global scale. Over the past decade, our value proposition as a brand has grown exponentially. I have had the opportunity to speak to thousands of people around the world and also consult and train various banks, small and medium businesses who recognize the need for an outside perspective to approach their workforce and trade barriers. Although we know that the knowledge industry in Nigeria compared to other countries is still developing, there is still room for improvement for business owners to take advantage of so many experts in various spaces who give value to individuals and improve organizational results. .

In your years of experience working with young people, what do you think is their biggest challenge?
I would say it’s one of a bias called Hyperbolic Discounting which quite simply means a lot of people value the immediacy of time over the higher value of money which leads to self-sabotage. We live in the microwave age where it all happens with the snap of a finger, the click of a button, but life is not structured or built to run at such speed, a number of young people were led into the dangerous alley called NOW. Rather than understanding the need and benefits of volunteering their time, the experience and passage of time strengthens their bones and wisdom, but unfortunately the desire to wake up to whatever they desire overnight is one of the biggest challenges facing young people today.

Leadership and mentoring are two essential aspects of society, essential for growth and development, how would you access your impact on nation building?
In my humble approach, we constantly serve hundreds of young people, through volunteer and mentoring activities, I make it a point to honor almost every event organized by young people and educational institutions. It is a long term goal to understand that we have to catch futures now, by sowing seeds that can be nurtured and that will bloom in adulthood, after all, it is easier to mend a broken child than to mend. a broken adult; therefore leadership and mentoring in any capacity is important and dear to my heart and that of my organization, the Chris Omoijiade Company.

Who is your target market?
I would say the individuals who are trying to understand their why and also the companies that require a major paradigm shift in their operations and revitalize their workforce. We are fortunate to work with tons of people every year through webinar, course, coaching and business platforms through executive coaching, training and consulting.
