The project aims to attract more people to the city center and give local small and micro businesses, aspiring entrepreneurs and creatives the chance to see what it could be like to have a physical presence in the city centre. city without incurring prohibitive costs.

Vicky Etheridge, BID manager, said: “We want The Place to offer something different and special within Lynn. We are really keen to open up the space to a wide range of ideas and opportunities, which could include exhibitions, creative sessions and retail pop-ups from new, existing or developing businesses.

“We understand that the initial setup costs of opening a physical retail space in the city can be a barrier, so The Place offers people the opportunity to pitch their business idea. If you think The Place could be a space for your idea, contact us!

While acting as an innovative retail and service space on evenings and weekends, The Place will also serve as a weekday business hub, providing guidance to established downtown Lynn businesses as well as those starting their own business trips, and it will also be used for various networking and training events to support local businesses.
