Home Show to Offer a Discussion on Building Homes | Grand Island Local News

Whether building from scratch or expanding, building a home is no small feat.

As part of the Central Nebraska Home Show on Grand Island, a panel of area experts on all things home building will offer their expertise. The roundtable is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds.

Butch Moural, a First National Bank mortgage lender; Chris Meister, residential designer at Mead Lumber; Craig Lewis, City of Grand Island Building Department Manager and Amos Anson, Contractor and Developer, will offer advice and share answers on building a home from planning to completion. This includes the availability of loans for home building projects, what the role of a contractor entails, and zoning considerations.

Dana Jelinek, program and outreach manager for Grand Island Tourism and a member of the Central Nebraska Home Builders board, will moderate the discussion.
