Construction of £12.6million care home kicks off in West Midlands

Developer Urban Village Healthcare has started construction of a purpose-built £12.6million care home with assisted living facilities in the West Midlands.

Main contractor Sandycroft Construction has started work on the site of the Randlay development in Telford on behalf of the Birmingham-based developer, part of Urban Village Group.

The development of a 70-bed care home, with 12 specialist care apartments, has been approved by Telford and Wrekin Council and is due to be completed in January 2023.

Urban Village Healthcare is focused on improving care home supply to meet the growing demand for purpose-built care beds across the UK. It aims to develop and operate numerous aged care schemes in response to the growing demand requirements of the healthcare sector.
