Tragically, both pilots were killed in the crash.
CCTV footage captured the moment a small plane crashed into a residential area in northwest Turkey.
the a single-engine plane crashed in a district of the province of Turkey, in the north-west of Sotck exchange on Monday, April 25 and burst into flames, killing both pilots.
Bursa Governor Yakup Canbolat said following the tragic event, “A flight instructor and a trainee pilot were killed in the crash while no one was injured.”
Videos circulating online after the crash show the moment the plane crashed, but also damage to vehicles in the area, with several cars set on fire as people filmed the incident on their phones.

Yakup Canbolat told reporters the accident was probably due to “a technical reason” as the weather conditions were “suitable for the flight”.
The governor also said that as a result of the crash of the civilian training plane, two homes and two vehicles were damaged, as reported dailysabah.com.
According to Turkish media, the plane was flying near Yunuseli airport, which they say is a hub for training flights.

They also reported that this was not the first such incident to occur in the area.
As noted by Daily Sabah, another training plane crashed near the same area in June 2021, however, the flight instructor and trainee pilot crashed in a nearby orchard and survived with injuries.
