Many buyers are interested in homes that within walking distance to Chastain park. Some of the streets that fall in this category are Worth, Stella, Dudley, Powers Ferry, Eppington, Cochran, Jett, Blanton, Hillside, Pineland, Tuxedo Road and Terrace, Laurel, Interlochen, Lake Forest Lane, Carlton, West Wieuca, Lake Forrest and Tall Pines. Some of these are on the north side of park where the ballfields, pool, equestrian center and childrens area are located, while others are the main roads than run around the perimeter of the park. The main roads that run around the park are Powers Ferry, Lake Forrest West Wieuca and Pool Rd.
If you are interested in being near the amphitheater you might look for homes for sale on Stella, Dudley, Worth, Tall Pines, Cochran, Jett, Eppington or Runnemede. This is the north and northwest section of the park where the golf course, pool, equestrian facilities, Horseradish Grill and the amphitheater are located. Homes for sale on the south side of the park might be a bit far for many people to consider "walkable".

The elementary school districts that most of the homes in what is considered the Chastain Park area are excellent and include Sarah Smith and Jackson on the Atlanta side and Heards Ferry on the Sandy Springs side.
